...encounters of expression...
...encounters of expression... the sounding light...
At one time the word 'art' referred to 'being.' As it may have been asked, "Who art thou?" (archaic 2nd person singular present of be). Yes, Art and Being. I see each life as a palette of possibilities, of potentialities, of passion, of power, to be held in awe, in reverence, in celebration, in fulfillment. The artist holds true to these expressions, and so brings these ever present quests to each artful encounter, be it painting, poetry, sculpture, architecture, literature, dance, drama, theater... staging, exhibiting, sharing, purpose ever fulfilled. With each experience, each perception, our senses engaged, our feeling and knowing defined, our spirit touched. Yes, Art and Being. Rose Marie Raccioppi
The work of art must seize upon you, wrap you up in itself and carry you away. It is the means by which the artist conveys his passion. It is the current which he puts forth, which sweeps you along in his passion. The pain passes, the beauty remains. Pierre-Auguste Renoir
